MUSICAL
memory is the mother of muses
(of which some
say there are three
others count nine).
and what is music
but that which comes of muses
musing deep enough our
hearts do hear?
what is the genie
but the genius
walking among us
sharing the levity
that defies the weight
of gravity with a lightness
that is the hollow bony
secret hid by the wings
of bird of song
and prey.
