Mastodon Cold Sky - Kelly Cowan - Poetry - Sensitive Skin Magazine

Cold Sky

maneuvered
these roads
in February –
sister’s memorial service –
car sheathed in ice
winds swelling
mile after mile
see only
railroad tracks &
low wood
utility poles
burrowed in the dirt
pushing up
† † † † †
into
the cold sky –
2 weeks later
distant relative
draws a bath
slips in
& slits
his wrists –
now
late April
roads
hot & dry – 88 degrees
open flat prairie
cast in golden hue
w/ green patches –
listening to Sardines
singing “Running Wild” –
just into Kansas
on the way
to ready my sister’s
house for sale
driving behind
semi full of pigs
stench of
urine
brings
tears to my eyes

  1. The more I read, the greater your material is. I have covered a lot
of the other sources, like this on https://bestgunsafeusa.com/gunvault-mini-vault-gun-safe/nonetheless, only here,
I have found valid information with such necessary facts to keep in mind.
I suggest you will publish articles with many topics to update our knowledge, mine in particular.
The language is another thing-just brilliant! I believe I’ve already found my ideal source of the most up-to-date info,
    thanks to you!
