Mac Davis & Christmas Crime in Beverly Hills

Mac Davis died today
He wrote music for Elvis, or something
I was a terrible flute player
I’m not sure if I remember it correctly
I’m not sure why my memories are so fuzzy about it, either
I was having some bouts of uncontrollable rage
Not really a problem once I quit playing the flute
Mr. Geisler my flute teacher was definitely a perv
But I assaulted my orchestra conductor instead
I was second chair flute
Leslie Freed the first chair actually practiced
We were used as the tv orchestra for Davis’ Christmas special
The year I turned twelve
Playing “Do you hear what I hear”
There was one long close up
Entirely of my face, blowing the flute
No one else got individual screen time
Christmas crime in Beverly Hills
